Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi weekend: First Holy Communion will be distributed on Saturday, June 1st (English) and Sunday at 1 PM (Spanish) Mass for Children’s Faith Formation students.

On Sunday, June 2nd following the 11 AM Mass, all are invited to participate in a eucharistic procession on the campus of Holy Family to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi and the gift of the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ.

All ministries are expected to participate, so please see your ministry coordinator for details on your group’s participation to help bring Jesus to others.

The Catholic Church encourages the faithful to participate in Eucharistic processions, especially on the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), this year falling on June 2nd. As Pope John Paul II stated in his encyclical Ecclesia de Eucharistia,

the devout participation of the faithful in the Eucharistic procession on the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ is a grace from the Lord which yearly brings joy to those who take part in it.
